Job Description:
The QA Tester plays a key role on the engineering team to ensure the delivery of quality features and releases to our customers. You will be investigating product issues with support staff and developers, performing functional and regression testing of software feature sets, and generating test plans and reports as part of an Agile SDLC. You should be self-directed, team oriented, and care what the customer wants from our products. This position requires healthy doses of initiative and flexibility in a very dynamic environment. The position will be based in Patan, Lalitpur.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Write test plans for new product features, execute test plans, report software bugs, reproduce problems reported by customers, and verify software bug fixes from development
- Recognize issues (e.g. with requirements, design, implementation, etc.) and work with appropriate resources to address and resolve
- Log defects and track their status, working with developers to reproduce and resolve defects, and execute re-tests and regression testing
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with product managers and the development team
- Document issues and solutions thoroughly, including steps to recreate and relevant data so that the problem can be accurately defined
- Maintain product test environments
- Support escalation point for client reported issues. Working with product and engineer team to determine root cause, verify available work arounds, and communicate a resolution

- Must have strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cross functionally to deliver resolution of technical, procedural, and operational issues
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Mongo DB, Microsoft .NET, and various testing and performance tools
Education + Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
