Job Description:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
- Perform unit testing to ensure code functionality and compatibility.
- Design and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand application requirements and provide feedback.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to ensure quality is integrated into every stage of the development lifecycle.
- Conduct regression testing and ensure continuous integration pipelines maintain high-quality standards.
- Analyze testing results and provide detailed reports on defects, risks, and testing coverage.
- Stay updated on the latest testing tools, trends, and best practices to continuously improve the QA process.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with hands-on experience in automated testing using Cypress.
- Strong understanding of unit testing principles and practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum processes.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Education + Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 Years of experience in the related field.
