Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, testing methodologies, and a deep understanding of the software development life cycle. As a Lead QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying, and reporting defects, and working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the product and development teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans.
- Create test strategies, test cases, and test data sets that align with project objectives.
- Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify and document defects, working with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks.
- Automate test cases to increase efficiency and test coverage.
- Maintain clear and organised test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
- Prepare and communicate test reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure a high-quality product is delivered.
- Participate in code reviews and provide input on testability and quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Share knowledge and best practices with the QA team.
- Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize the software for speed, scalability, and stability.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, and experience in CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with test automation framework with tools like Cypress, Cucumber, Selenium, Jenkins
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Hands on experience in Agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education + Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
- Minimum 2 years of lead / Senior experience in QA
