Job Description:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer. You will ensure we maintain customer trust and delight with every launch, new feature, and change we introduce in our Products/ applications. You'll operate as a teammate to developers, product managers, and designers to help deliver incredible product experiences. You'll play a critical part in shaping the experiences we deliver by developing a deep knowledge of each domain. This role will allow you to think both creatively and critically about how we build, verify, and deliver products.

Requirements

What are your deliverables?

  • Own the execution of exploratory coverage initiatives that helps product teams better understand and solve for unique user scenarios.
  • Identify opportunities for increased automation and manual regression testing across the QA process.
  • Establish a framework for successfully authoring, executing and measuring test cases in an agile environment.
  • Proactively identify cross-platform interdependencies and recommend workarounds to ensure continuous improvement and continuity.
  • Provide downstream impact to testing protocol improvements while providing thoughtful feedback at requirements-time, upstream of production.
  • Identify and resolve defects that may have a meaningful impact on product quality.
  • Serve as a steward of best practices and documentation by establishing principles that will ensure greater efficacy and product quality.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to peers and junior QA professionals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Maturity. You understand that sound quality assurance is the difference between good and bad product quality, especially at scale.
  • Proactivity. You’re used to building in grey areas and helping teams prioritize QA initiatives to help meet the needs of a growing user base.
  • Attention to detail. Your ability to identify defects and conduct root cause analysis is unparalleled.
  • Intellectual curiosity. You’re able to ask questions that force teammates to think critically about their current and future state.
  • Genuine empathy. You have a good pulse on the business. You take a consultative approach to quality assurance by connecting QA solutions with the needs of the user.

What you should have?

  • Capable of coding tools that help QA testing and Experience with both mobile and web applications.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Postman, Selenium, JMeter .
  • Good at one of the programming languages. (nodejs, python, java)

Education + Experience:

  • 2-3 years of QA automation experience, preferably with a “self-serve” B2B OR consumer application where software is the product.
