Job Description:
An ideal candidate is someone who has experience with the development and maintenance of the SQL Server database platforms. The SQL Server Developer (SSD) plays a pivotal role in the development of our ERP applications for US market. The Senior SSD is responsible for carrying out the database and ETL activities to support the new ERP platform. You will also work with other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices. You will help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs;
- Responsible for completion of development projects;
- Maintain referential integrity, domain integrity, and column integrity by using the available options such as constraints, etc.;
- Create, maintain, optimize stored procedures, database, and ETL processes;
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases;
- Prepare documentation and specifications;
- Works with users to support business applications, and investigate operational problems/system requirements;
- Directs, prepares, designs, codes, tests, debugs, and maintains complex computer programs;
- Managing migration of existing infrastructure to cloud servers;
- Provide support and streamlining of data consolidation processes;
- Monitoring and fine-tuning databases for optimal performance;
- Interact with report owners to establish/clarify their requirements and develop report specifications;
- Resolve end-user reporting problems through collaboration with IT and Operations;
- Regularly provides coaching, guidance, and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written & spoken skill in English
- Demonstrate potential to manage medium to large scale projects
- Should have hands-on experience and in-depth understanding of MSSQL
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the project and customer organizations
- Must be technically sound to efficiently lead the projects.
Education + Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information technology with 4-5 years of experience
