Job Description:
Are you a self-motivated innovative leader who is seeking to be a part of a dynamic and collaborative engineering team? If your answer is yes, look no further, Grepsr has the job for YOU! We are seeking a QA Manager to join our team in Kathmandu, Nepal.
QA Manager will be overseeing the multiple teams led by the QA Team Leads. They should explore new tools, invest in research and development, automate manual processes and implement across teams to enhance the quality of delivery and reduce the time per project.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Oversees the daily workflow of multiple teams.
- Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff.
- Ensures new team members are properly onboarded.
- Coach QA Team Leads and ensures that the QA Team leads effectively manage the team.
- Holds 1:1 with team members and provides regular, specific, and actionable feedback.
- Responsible for the Performance management and review of the entire team
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as per company policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work closely with the data QA to evaluate large datasets for quality and accuracy, identify areas of improvement, and make recommendations for long-term solutions.
- Work closely with the product team to transition some of the QA requirements built out in the Grepsr platform to streamline the QA process.
- Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team uses industry-accepted best practices.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure high quality and low TAT..
- Resource planning as per the pipelines and team's bandwidth
- Guide QA Lead to develop templates and share the guidelines on making the process more efficient.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Should be proactive and have good multitasking skills.
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborator who shares knowledge with their peers.
- Strong Knowledge of data analytics tools like Pandas and Tableau
- Good knowledge of using office packages (Specially Excel)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Amazon Quick Sight, or Google Data Studio.
- Knowledge of programming language - Python or R
Education + Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field.
- More than 5 years of experience in QA
- Previous experience as a QA Team Lead
- Proven passion for the data quality discipline
- Extremely meticulous in approach to work
- Strong knowledge of programming language (Python or R) and data visualization tools.
