Job Description:
KUDO SRE creates a bridge between development and operations by applying a software engineering mindset to system administration topics. They work to ensure the platform SLA and develop systems and software that help increase site reliability and performance.
Location: Remote, New York
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure all services are up and running to maintain SLA
- Create and lead different incident response plans that may occur across different platforms.
- Working closely with several teams to ensure that every software release meets security, SLA, and performance requirements
- Debug production issues across entire platforms and deliver appropriate solution
- Monitor KUDO platform and assist engineers to build error-free and performative platforms
- Work closely with developers to continually build and refine our SaaS platform
- Relentlessly look for ways to simplify and automate our cloud environment
- Troubleshoot complex requests and issues quickly and effectively
- Identify opportunities for improved monitoring and alerting to detect issues more rapidly
- Integrate new features as relayed from our business partners to the product team
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent scripting and programming skills in Ruby, Python
- Experience deploying to and managing on AWS and Azure cloud
- Experience with service and application provisioning, deployment, and orchestration
- Capable of embracing and following guidance from team members
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong software and cloud computing security skills
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Flexible with hours to coordinate with other team members across the globe
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Being a team player with excellent manners and personality
- Comfortable working remotely and using video conferencing
Education + Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of strong, demonstrable experience in DevOps
- MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
