About this role
We’re looking for an exceptional candidate who is excited about the opportunity to reimagine the next-generation data acquisition platform. As a UI Developer, you’ll have the opportunity to use leading frontend technologies to deliver an optimal user experience. You’ll liaise with the product design and experience team to translate visual artifacts into highly intuitive, snappy, and responsive user journeys and interfaces.
A successful candidate will be a major contributor to our product team to shape and accelerate the development of our growing portfolio of product lines. While we don’t require a background in data capture/services, a successful candidate will have a unique blend of product intuition, code, and pixel expertise, and solving business problems through interface design.
What you’ll do
- Work with the design team to convert designs to well-defined HTML and CSS components which is part of a bigger web application
- Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
- Codify and maintain pattern library in Grepsr’s design system
- Partner with UX designers to understand user motivation and provide recommendations based on platform requirements
- Finalize design specs and provide functional and non-functional design requirements
- Work with back-end, data services and QA teams to deliver high-quality product releases on time
- Ask why, why, why, why, and why!
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
What you’ll need
- A strong portfolio of work
- 3+ years of experience in user interface development for web and mobile applications
- Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS; exposure to popular JavaScript frameworks such as React
- Proficient in knowledge of Sass
- Experience with a responsive design for desktop/mobile
- Expertise in troubleshooting cross-browser and cross-platform issues
- You know your art top to bottom – and can work independently
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills as you will be coordinating with engineering, product management, and business development partners
- Desire to be a part of something BIG – bigger than yourself!
- Bonus/nice-to-have: prior experience with SaaS product(s)
Education + Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in user interface development for web and mobile applications
