Job Description:

  • Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain.
  • Lead and implement key strategic and operational projects in cross-functional settings.
  • Arranging and conducting business development meetings with prospective stakeholders.
  • Act as a sparring partner for strategic tasks initiated by the Management Board.
  • Develop new business fields in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Identify and analyze relevant KPIs and deduct concrete actions to develop our company
  • Defines and researches significant market/category opportunities while assuring alignment to meet the business's strategic and financial objectives.
  • Leading the charge on market research plans to identify new opportunities options and recommendations for the most important issues facing businesses.
  • Tracks industry and competitive trends and develops business outlook and perspectives on strategic shifts required in the portfolio.
  • Prepare contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
  • Document trustworthy feedback and take required actions.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of the Nepalese market and its behavior.
  • Work prioritization and time management skills.
  • Stellar analytical skills and distinctive understanding of numbers.
  • Strong personality to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
  • Intrinsic motivation to actively drive impact in our business activities.
  • Strong scientific, organizational, communication, and project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Quick perception and structured working methods.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong team player with proven ability to work in teams.
  • The ability to foresee and solve problems, and prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and build relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Effective communication skills pertaining to scientific concepts and business development.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to strategically assess opportunities in a fact-based process.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of staff across different functional expertise within the organization, including Marketing, and R&D.
  • Create strategic roadmaps for functional partners to design, test, and implement transformational business solutions.
  • A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, strong work ethic, proactively setting and achieving challenging goals, flexibility/adaptability to changing environments, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership.

Education + Experience:

  • University degree in business administration, Strategy, or Marketing.
  • 4 years of practical experience in strategy & business development, is a leading financial service firm/industry, optionally in a start-up environment.
