Job Description:
- Setup effective database design, identify the best database structure and schema, database access privilege management, write effective as well as clean complex SQL, Documentation, Upgrade database instance, long running process and guidelines.
- Implement best database practices techniques methods in software development and follow industry standard methods in development.
- Review about database schema diagram, database integrity, tables and dictionaries and backup and restore concept to enhancement and improvement on going database operation.
- Review about database requirement, ability to write analytical SQL queries on real business requirements, maintain ETL workflows and monitoring database storage and process.
- Minimize database downtime and monitoring database health checkup to achieve high availability and provide fast query response.
- Participate in the all stage of the software development life cycle process.
- Planning, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical Skills:
- Strong Knowledge of Relational Database Management system especially MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
- Strong knowledge of complex query writing.
- Strong Knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning.
- Strong experience of database installation, version upgrades, backup, recovery and data migration.
- Experience with Database system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Experience with working closely with the development team to assist on database design and query support.
- Knowledge of Database Isolation level, Replication and Clustering technology,
- Knowledge of managing high volume of OLTP/OLAP database, ETL processing and Data warehousing concept as well.
