Job Description:
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Purpose:
Works closely with Global CTO or Executive Director to create engaging content for a company's social media presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and seeking out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manages company social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant platforms
- Engages in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms
- Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
- Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
- Manages social media communications
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 1 year of relevant work experience in social media marketing or as a digital media sector.
- Adequate knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
- Self- directed and able to work without supervision. Ability to prioritise and organise own workload and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and to grow with the company and motivated to take additional task and solve problems
- Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
- Strong attention to detail and skills in proofreading
Skills and Traits Required:
- Understanding of using social media to build profile and influence in communications campaigns
- Comfortable at ensuring that social media content remains within brand guidelines
- A general knowledge of design in order to create visually appealing graphics to coordinate with appropriate posts
- Up-to-date with the latest trends/developments in social media communications
- Ability to convey ideas in a clear and precise way so that audience members can easily understand the messages being conveyed on the social media channels
Education + Experience:
Bachelor in Communications, Marketing, Business or Public relations is preferred but not mandatory
