Job Description:

  • Dealing with change orders, delays, variation orders, price adjustment, bonus, Lab tests etc.
  • Submission of every interim payment certificates for payment
  • Receiving instructions from the client/ consultant/ engineer and taking action on time
  • Immediate information to the Project Manager of Head office for any obstruction to the progress of the work
  • Planning and allocating right people to the right place
  • Conducting weekly site meeting
  • Submit monthly work progress report within seven days of next month to Project Manager in the head office
  • Ensure implementation of construction activity in line with the design and budget formulated by the organization
  • Provide timely and accurate information to account department and site managers/supervisors
  • Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site and ensure that all materials used and works performed are in accordance with the specifications
  • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors
  • Plan the work and efficiently organize the site in order to meet agreed deadlines
  • Undertaking of necessary surveys
  • Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
  • Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency and implementation to those improvements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Has in-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, and bridge & road construction activities
  • Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Has strong interpersonal, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed team management and leadership skill
  • Willingness to work more than official hours when needed

Education + Experience:

  • Has a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in road projects. Experience in a bridge project is advantageous
