We are looking for an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development.
Job Responsibilities
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Constant communication with other colleagues in the business to develop and deploy their content – and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe
- Providing internal support and external customer service throughout the build and launch process of the website
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
- Cooperate with web designers to match visual design objectives
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Knowledge of how to interact with REST Full APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object-Oriented Programming, and web application development
- A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
- Basic knowledge of SEO
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
- Experience in designing and developing responsive design websites
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques
Education + Experience:
- Proven working experience in WordPress for more than 5-8 years
