Job Description:
We are looking for a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain simple to complex websites in WordPress
- Planning and executing the development process efficiently
- Communicate effectively with team members and PM’s throughout the development
- Develop and maintain WP plugins/themes and build custom solutions depending on the requirements
- Designing and building the website front-end.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
What are we looking for:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress websites
- Should have experience in WordPress theme and plugin development
- Knowledge of WordPress coding standard and best practices for developing efficient and high-quality back-end system
- Knowledge of responsive design/css is a plus
- Strong Knowledge in jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX
- Good knowledge of WooCommerce
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git)
Nice to have:
- Experience with building REST API services and integrating with 3rd party API services
- Advanced proficiency in coding and applying effective techniques
- Have a good understanding of Gutenberg, Blocks, Sage, WP Bakery, Elementor and premium themes
- Experience in code review and optimisation
- Strong knowledge in Php and OOP
Education + Experience:
- Should have minimum 3+ years of professional work experience in WordPress
