Job Description:
AlphaBetaTheta Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Selenium or Cypress to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the highest level of quality for our software products. The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure seamless integration and a smooth software release process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Cypress for web applications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, identify potential risks, and develop appropriate test plans and strategies.
- Perform test case reviews and participate in test design discussions, providing valuable input to improve test effectiveness and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.
- Analyze test results, identify and report defects, track issues, and verify fixes.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, tools, and trends in QA automation and software testing.
- Continuously improve the overall testing process and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and quality.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with test automation frameworks, such as JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, or Jasmine.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for deliverables.
- Should be able to work in night shift.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman or RestAssured.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools, such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Education + Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software testing and QA automation, with a focus on Selenium or Cypress.
