Job Description:

Position: Senior Manager, Maternal Newborn Health
Location: Based in Kathmandu

The Senior Manager, Maternal Newborn Health (MNH) is responsible for the operational delivery of a new project that will strengthen the continuum of MNH care. The proposed program will address prioritized demand and supply-side barriers to increase utilization of MNH services across the continuum of care, by improving linkages and reducing dropouts, ultimately leading to better MNH outcomes. The Senior Manager, Maternal Newborn Health is responsible for the operational delivery of the project against the workplan on time, on budget, and with quality.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills with demonstrable ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent writing, public speaking, training, and group facilitation skills required 
  • Familiarity with current evidence and best practices for MNH 
  • Knowledge of the Nepal health system with familiarity and knowledge about MNH

Education + Experience:

  • MBBS (preferred) or Master’s degree in public health or equivalent degree with consummate experience 
  • At least 7 years professional experience, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in MNH and/or relevant/related program expertise.
