Fight Back is a sexual violence risk reduction education program for women and girls which develops their critical Mental, Vocal and Physical Skills to prevent, mitigate and manage the risk of sexual violence. We are Social Enterprise where every profit we make we cross subsidize it to training in low-income schools in different part of Nepal. 

We have trained 8000+ women and girls in rural and urban areas with 95% reporting an increase in confidence and skills after Fightback training. In many districts, girls are setting up self help groups to share their learning from Fightback with other girls

Job Description:

Position Summary:

FightBack  is looking for a hardworking, energetic, and dedicated Self-Defense Trainer to become a member of our team. The candidate should have good knowledge and practice of martial arts. This position will facilitate on providing the physical aspect of self-defense education, in order to prevent and mitigate the risk of sexual violence. The candidate will be responsible for training girls and boys in developing physical safety skills to respond against the threat of sexual violence. The candidate will first undergo a rigorous Train the trainer program before being handed the training responsibility. The candidate will have to go to various districts to conduct the training in schools.

Scope of Work

A Physical Trainer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Train the trainees according to the standards and skills learned in the Fightback TTT training program
  • Conduct training at the districts in schools 
  • Provide self-defense skills to the trainees
  • Deal sensitively with the trainees
  • Prepare and handle the logistics for the training. 
  • Manage the documents provided during the training
  • Coordinate and work with the supervisor and colleagues
  • Provide feedback of the training and trainees to the supervisor
  • Manage the documents collected after training

Reporting Supervision and Performance Evaluation:

  • The trainer will report to the chief self-defense trainer
  • The performance of the trainer will be evaluated by the chief physical trainer and then the managing director
