Job Description:
- Evaluate students who complain of specific ailments
- Call parents to suggest they pick up students who might be uncomfortable or who might have developed a contagious illness
- Educate students on hand washing, germs and other health care and safety issues
- Examine and authenticate vaccination records
- Monitor and dispense prescription medications based on instructions from parents and GPs
- Contact parents and teachers with any medical emergency
- Develop and manage school health and wellness programme
- Maintain files on each student’s health and medical history
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to assess injuries and illness
- Become part of the educational team
- Help students manage chronic diseases by teaching them self-care skills
- Administer medication
Education + Experience:
- Should have Completed PCL Nursing
