Job Description:
- Meeting with the development team to discuss and brainstorm about product requirements.
- Identify procedures and scenarios for the quality control of products.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test script to ensure that product objectives are met and inform the team of defects and errors through test report.
- Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the product. Awareness regarding design approaches, manufacturing pipelines and the desired product features Spot and record the areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency.
- Detect any bugs or defects throughout the development process, recording what went wrong and how the problem or difficulty was overcome.
- Follow scrum methodology which is an iterative and incremental agile software development framework for managing products. Quality of the delivery should be of optimum quality.
- Good understanding of testing methodologies and testing processes
- Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations.
- Reporting to the Project Manager/Team Leader regarding the progress, impediments of assigned project/tasks
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in written & verbal communication along with documentation skill.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss and clarify the requirements.
- Continuously share knowledge about tools and technologies with team.
- Provide training to Intern and Junior quality analysts only if required.
- Estimate the time to complete test assigned in collaboration with Tech Lead and Project Manager.
- Knowledge of Software Development Process (Agile preferred).
- Familiarity with Project Management Tool such as Jira, Slack, Confluence, Figma etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Critical thinking increases the chances of diagnosing bugs and fixing them before the features move up in its development life cycle.
- Strong knowledge of versioning tools such as GIT.
- Experience with built-in browser-based debugging tools and performance testing software.
Education + Experience:
- Must have Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or have at least 2+ years of experience as Quality Analyst.
