Job Description:

TPO Nepal is looking for competent, committed, and result-oriented candidates for the following position.

Position   Psychologist/Senior Project Officer (Female)

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension) 

Starting date: At the earliest

Major responsibilities:

The Psychologist/Senior Project Officer will be responsible for following duties but not limited to:

  • Provide psychosocial services and psychological therapeutic interventions to anti-trafficking, S/GBV, torture and other vulnerable groups, by using various evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychosocial counselors.
  • Develop and implement management plan and therapy.
  • Assist the head of the program in the overall coordination of related projects (project team, local and provincial stakeholders, partners etc.)
  • Involve in monitoring and supervision of project activities.
  • Prepare reports (event/monthly/ quarterly and project completion) of services delivered and various events.
  • To support develop different training modules, interventions, guidelines, IEC materials, etc.
  • Conduct a range of psychosocial training of varying duration to different groups

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Able to work in multi-culture environment.
  • Perform any other training related assignments as directed by the clinical coordinator and management.
  • Able to prepare reports in computer.
  • Willingness to travel to remote areas as per the need and scope of work.
  • Priority will be given to one who has experience working with vulnerable population like anti-trafficking, GBV, anti-torture and other vulnerable groups.
  • Must have fluency in English, Nepali and Hindi languages, both written and spoken.

Education + Experience:

  • The candidate must preferably have M.Phil. In Clinical Psychology with relevant experience or should have completed Master’s degree in Psychology/Counseling Psychology with at least two years of work experience in psychosocial and mental health field.
