Human Rights and Environment Development Center (HuRENDEC) is a leading non- profit making Non- Government Organization (NGO) registered in Kalikot district. Kalikot is a mountainous district of mid- western development region of Nepal lying in the southwest part of Karnali zone. It consists of 3 municipalities and 7 rural municipalities. Its major areas for working are Livelihood support, Micro Enterprise Development, Good-governance, Disaster Risk Reduction, Rehabilitation/Recovery Response, Natural Resource Management and Environment friendly rural infrastructure, Sustainable Utilization of (natural) Resources and Promotion of Renewable Energy Technologies for addressing adverse effects of the Climate Change. Job Description:

Contract Type: H-SC 6

Duty Station: Kalikot (frequently movement in project areas)

Report to: Program Director 

Major Responsibilities

  • The Program Officer will be responsible to lead on program planning, implementation, reporting, M&E, coordination and collaboration with relevant government stakeholders and the Plan International Nepal and its districts‘ partners. 
  • Provide technical support to the project team to ensure strong linkages and communications between sectors and at all program levels, program management
  • Overall coordination, support on planning, extension and replication of activities as per positive impact and positive performance,
  • lead coordination and leaver age with the government, I/NGOs, private sector actors and other civil society organizations at the district/ municipality level. 
  • Excellent skill in planning, data analysis, supervision and monitoring and comprehensive report writing in English and Nepali version.
  • Well experienced and good facilitation skill in conducting meeting, orientation, trainings, workshop and conference.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and ability for staffs’ capacity building with quality assurance.
  • Proven skills in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and Internet.

Education + Experience:

Minimum Bachelor Degree (Masters Degree preferred) in social science, gender studies or related studies with a minimum of 3 years work experience in managing and implementing projects and have a proven ability to manage risks and promote governance to contribute to strategic outcomes.
