The organization is determined to minimize and eradicate all the possible mental and physical harassment/ mistreatment and violence against all BVI girls and WWDs.

Job Description:

Under direct supervision of the executive board, the program coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project activities. 

  • The program coordinator will work closely under the supervision of executive board of BWAN
  • Maintain communication with partners, Disabled persons’ organizations (DPOs), NGO communities and Government entities
  • Prepare project reports and submit to BWAN’s board for the approval
  • Develop new project proposal and explore the possibilities of resources for the activity of BWAN.
  • Develop partnerships with other similar organizations to promote the inclusion and participation of BVI girls/women
  • Ensure annual planning, periodic review and timely reporting of the projects and organizational activities
  • Perform and exercise other functions and duties as prescribed by the Board

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in managing development cooperation projects; including experience in monitoring, reporting, evaluation, developing proposal and capacity building of women particularly women with disabilities
  • Proven understanding of gender, inclusion and disability issues
  • Experience of working directly with stakeholders; the partners, DPOs and the local level branches
  • Excellent communications skills, in English and in Nepali
  • Ability to stay in the field at least 30% of time
  • Experience in common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and data base software 

Education + Experience:

Master in Gender Studies, sociology, development studies or related field with minimum of two years of experience in development sector
