Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Become accustomed and understand why and how current developments are taking place.
- Communicate and coordinate with all functional teams regarding aspects of features and technologies required and be able to prioritize them effectively.
- Build a product roadmap and follow it religiously, inspecting and adapting as required by feedback from the customers and cross-functional teams following agile principles.
- Write and prioritize user stories and define acceptance criteria.
- Ability to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical ability to break down complex problems and effectively use data and analytics layered against high-quality user research to inform the direction of the product.
- Project management: Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team.
- Research: Run various ad-hoc research and business analyses to assess opportunities and risks.
For the 1st month:
- Immersion into the business model, operations, and all current development activities
- Get on-call with our development partners just to get your feet wet.
- Be a part of every brainstorming and feedback session
For the next 6 months:
- Work and communicate with all functions to organize, prioritize to build product roadmaps and backlogs for required features.
- Communicate with development partners regarding current product and feature developments and flag any discrepancies, roadblocks, derailments, and any other issues that may arise.
- Coordinate with stakeholders regarding mitigation plans, roadmaps and also create buy-in from all stakeholders.
- Ship features that deliver high business impact.
- Set quarterly OKRs and work with the management team to visualize, provide opinions and discuss forward-looking plans.
- Support building a development team
- Continuously improve team processes.
- Work with all functional heads to discover new product opportunities for your backlog.
- Constantly re-evaluate your roadmap’s alignment with the strategic goals of the business, adjusting where necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have a clear understanding of descriptive statistics and must be able to analyze data for conducting research with customers and teammates.
- Ability to create wireframes and mockups, with a knack for keeping things simple.
- Detail-oriented with a high bar for quality when writing user stories, reviewing designs, brainstorming technical approaches, and testing a feature before it is released.
- Should be willing to learn and provide training as well as go for training and certification sponsored by Sastodeal.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using agile development methodologies
Education + Experience:
- At least 1 year of Product management experience in a technology company.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
