Job Description:
Helen Keller International (HKI) is an International non-profit organization (INGO) working in health and nutrition in Nepal since 1989 to improve the nutritional status of women and young children through evidence- based research and programs. HKI, CARE, FHI 360, NTAG, EAN, ENPHO, VDRC together are implementing USAID funded Suaahara II Program (SP II) in 42 districts. Applications are invited from interested, committed, dynamic team players and experienced Nepali nationals for the following position based in Kathmandu.
Nutrition Specialist at Family Welfare Division, Teku (Short Term)
Summary of Job Purpose: The position will be responsible to support Nutrition Section, Family Welfare Division (FWD) in developing Nutrition policy, strategies, preparing Annual Plan and Budget of National Nutrition Programs, provide technical support for program implementation, monitoring and documentations. S/he will also be responsible for report writing, data analysis, design/prepare presentation papers of national nutrition programs and coordinate with concerned agencies (government and non-government) at different levels.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work well with team and maintain positive working environment; good communication skills both in English and Nepali; coordination and facilitation skills; ability to manage and execute multiple tasks with little supervision while meeting deadlines and excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Education + Experience:
- Master #39;s degree in public health with minimum 3 years of strong experience in Government system and in nutrition
