Job Description:
As a technology leader in healthcare process automation and interoperability, Smart Data Solutions (SDS) company is a strategic partner that utilizes data and intelligent automation to digitally transform operations and deliver outcomes for clients which reduces costs, streamline workflows, and improves overall customer experience. Looking to the future, Smart Data Solutions has ambitious growth plans for the next few years and is currently seeking a Monitoring Engineer to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
Daily Production
- Performs continuous monitoring of the production state of all assigned customers.
- Troubleshoots and corrects technical systems to ensure transactions are moving through the system properly
- Recognizes aging transactions and works to resolve issues to keep the transactions moving.
- Sees to it that SDS is meeting turn-around-time and that assigned accounts are current with production every day prior to the start of the US workday.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Threat Management
- Reviews and troubleshoots items highlighted on the “SDS Systems” threat report.
- Assesses and monitors threats daily.
- Triages and escalates threats based on age and impact.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Analysis & Resolution
- Ensures that customer data workflows and exports are executing correctly and within SLAs.
- Investigate and correct technical issues with customer data workflows to deliver data correctly and within SLAs.
- Understands and follows Smart Data Solutions (SDS) workflow and associated technical systems.
- Understands and follows all assigned customer workflows including import and export processes.
- Interprets customer business processes, analyzes problems, and recommends programmable solutions.
- Applies analytical and business knowledge to solve customer specified problems adhering to SDS coding standards and policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Communication
- Communicates to customers (via emails) about SDS workflows.
- Communicates to customer of any critical production issues that may affect a customer’s production process.
- Communicate to the team lead or manager on any critical production issues related to customers.
- Adheres to SDS’s courteous and professional, written and verbal, communication standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency with Java
- Proficiency with Unix-like operating systems
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems

Education + Experience:
- At least a 2-year technical degree (or equivalent).
- 1-5 years of similar experience.
