Job Description:
- Actively promote Meinhardt and pursue and win work
- Participate in Business Development and Marketing
- Set design criteria, check design calculation and drawings
- Agree on design concepts with Division Director/Team Leader
- Ensure concept and sketch designs are reviewed and approved before progressing to the next stage
- Ensure accuracy of all works carried out by the Team
- Carry out feasibility studies
- Assist the Team Leader/Division Managing Director about the training and skill development needs of the Team
- Formalize standards for specifications, drawings etc. in conjunction with other Team Leaders and Division Managing Director
- Keep Team members informed and aware of the latest practices, materials availability, legislative rules and regulations etc
- Investigate and recommend on engineering system selection
- Ensure design, documentation work carried out by team members is correct and comply with codes and local authority requirements
- Ensure various project submissions are made on time and follow up on approvals
- Carry out spot checks and design reviews on design and documentation work carried out by others
- Carrying out detail design and calculations of complicated areas personally and explaining the same to other engineers and technicians
- Attend design/site meetings, including all other important meetings with Architects, Clients and Authorities
- Act as the Mechanical QP for the M&E Division for jobs assigned
Education + Experience:
- Masters in Engineering
- 7 years of relevant working experience and a minimum of 3 years in an international setting in MEP Projects
- Excellent organisational skills, including ability to deliver against competing priorities and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- A positive, enthusiastic and flexible attitude towards delivering results
- Keen to work in a challenging, multinational environment with flexibility regarding working hours
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal English and Nepali, including strong writing and editing skills
