Job Description:

Position: Mentor

Number Required: 10

Type: Contract /Part time

Job Location: Kathmandu

Time duration 2 Month (mid January - mid March)

Benefits: Stipend for two months, travel and communication allowances.

Job purpose:

 Mentors will lead school based activities in schools around Kathmandu Valley and mentor adolescents aged 13-15. Two day training will be provided for selected mentors who will then facilitate activities following set of curriculum and other guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning: Plan activities to be delivered in different schools for grade 8 and 9 students
  • Training: Deliver week long workshop in different schools of Kathmandu valley.
  • Networking: Build network with various schools in Kathmandu           
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with Hamro Palo staff, school authorities and students
  • Documentation: Document case studies and stories from participants and prepare report based in the activities in each schools
  • Team work: Work in a team for successful delivery of activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability work in team as well as independently
  • Have a strong communication and networking skill

Education + Experience:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Interested to work in the field of children and education
