Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
PMsquare, a dynamic and innovative company, is actively in search of an exceptional Node.js Developer to join our dedicated team. As a Junior Node.js Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of cutting-edge projects while leveraging your expertise in Node.js and related technologies. We are seeking the experienced developer with following description:
Programming Knowledge and Experience (REQUIRED)
- Basic proficiency with JavaScript language features in both server-side and client-side applications
- Some understanding of promises and async/await in asynchronous JavaScript
- Basic understanding of front-end design including HTML5 and CSS3
- Knowledge of modern UI frameworks such as Angular, AngularJS, or React
- Knowledge of typical approaches to web-based APIs such as SOAP and REST
- Adherence to best practices regarding integration of code within versioning systems (particularly Git)
- Some experience implementing automated tests using either server-side or client-side frameworks
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback to and from other developers on the team
- Deliberate attention to ensure new code and coding practices do not endanger the security or stability of our systems
Database Knowledge and Experience (REQUIRED)
- Understanding relational data and how it is implemented in an RDMS (particularly MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle)
- Ability to modify and query a relational database using SQL
- Understanding of the document data model (particularly MongoDB)
- Experience with MongoDB CRUD operations as well as aggregation pipelines
Additional Relevant Experience and Skills (DESIRED)
- Experience with some form of analytics/reporting tool (Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Experience with AWS including EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, and Developer Tools
- Prior experience as tier 1 or 2 support
- Experience working within an Agile development process
Education + Experience:
- With Prior experience of 1+ years
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Similar
