Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced iOS Developer Instructor willing to travel to Bhutan for 2 weeks. As an iOS Developer Instructor, you will play a crucial role in imparting your knowledge of iOS development to aspiring developers. Your responsibilities will include guiding students through the intricacies of Swift programming, iOS development lifecycles, and best practices in mobile app design and deployment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct engaging and informative instructional sessions on iOS development, emphasizing Swift programming language.
  • Provide hands-on guidance in setting up development environments and utilizing version control with Git and GitHub.
  • Deliver a comprehensive understanding of the iOS development lifecycle and collaborate with students on real-world projects.
  • Assist students in translating UI/UX designs into functional code, incorporating principles of good design and accessibility.
  • Foster collaboration between students and back-end development teams to simulate real-world development scenarios.
  • Instruct on database management, including data storage, user authentication, and data/service management.
  • Teach the integration of APIs and web services to enhance functionality and access third-party services.
  • Demonstrate mobile app testing techniques, emphasizing both manual and automated testing tools.
  • Instruct on implementing secure authentication methods, encryption techniques, and ethical considerations in push notifications.
  • Guide students in the preparation and deployment of iOS applications to the Apple App Store, emphasizing optimization for visibility.
  • Facilitate ongoing discussions on post-launch maintenance, updates, and bug fixes to ensure application compatibility.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Swift programming language and hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and mobile app testing tools.
  • In-depth understanding of databases, back-end development, and UI/UX design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus.

Education + Experience:

  • Substantial experience as an iOS Developer with a strong portfolio of developed applications.
