National Association of People Living with HIV in Nepal (NAP+N) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) was established in 2003 that works at national level and local community-based organizations and communities with a mission to strengthen the voice of PLHIV through formation and strengthening of networks and association of PLHIV to respond to&nbs ... p;the challenges of HIV and AIDS in Nepal. NAP+N focuses on building the capacity of local PLHIV groups to respond appropriately to the needs of PLHIV and its related key populations in areas of advocacy, prevention, care and support, counseling, raising community awareness, providing information and education and improving access to the healthcare and legal services. NAP+N has been implementing The Global Fund’s Catalytic Fund-PLHIV Program in 57 districts of Nepal in partnership with Save the Children International. And this is specially designed to support for reducing the Human Rights related barriers of HIV in Nepal. Job Description:

Reports toProject Coordinator(PC)

Job Role: 

In-reach worker is one of the responsible positions at the community and local level to implement program supported by Save the Children under Global Fund. The overall primary responsibility is to implement IRRTTR (Identify, Reach, Recommend, Test, Treat and Retain) through behavior change communication (BCC) package, HIV and TB screening, referral to treatment, care & support. S/he will maintain service record using daily diary immediate after service delivery and maintain daily and monthly log sheets and registers. S/he will be working at PALIKA level under direct supervision of Project Coordinator (PC). 

Key Areas of Accountability: 

  • Reach migrant and their spouse and other vulnerable population and provide minimum package of services (BCC, IEC material distribution, condom demo, and distribution)
  • Carry out HIV test, provide test result to all those tested and record the services in the CLT register  
  • Refer and accompany reactive cases to HTC sites and or lab assistant 
  • Carry out TB screening and fill the form of all those reached during BCC 
  • Accompany and support laboratory staff to conduct HIV testing camp at responsible ward/Palika Provide report (data) timely, completely and accurately in the prescribed forms and format to the M&E Officer
  • Maintain and update all the recording and reporting forms (log sheets), registers and diary
  • Support M&E to update the information in OPMIS and IHMIS 
  • Orient FCHVs on HIV and TB screening, plan mobile camp in coordination with respective Health Facilities. 
  • Manage and track reactive client & Index partners for HIV confirmation, ART enrollment and link to care & support program 
  • Coordinate with respective PALIKA health section for program activities and share PALIKA wise monthly plan in the support of PC
  • Follow up and flag field level issues and challenges to PC and SR office for further solution
  • Ensure no stock out of required logistics/commodities at field level
  • Establish linkage with TB outreach workers at respective community/cluster to ensure TB presumptive is diagnosed and enrolled in treatment 
  • Establish linkage with CHBC workers at respective community/cluster to ensure positive cases are enrolled in ART and followed-up regularly
  • Support Project Coordinator and M&E Officer to implement program activities in coordination with Palika and health facilities
  • Follow the Safeguarding Policy of SCI and comply at all level

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Residency at local level/PALIKA level will be in priority
  • Good recording and reporting skill
  • Good communication and coordination skill

Education + Experience:

  • SLC/SEE completed with 2-years related experience or CMA/ANM/AHW with 1 year of working experience in related field
