Job Description:
- Build and maintain web applications using popular Node.js frameworks.
- Build and maintain microservices to support the front-end web application.
- Work with microservices written in a variety of languages
- Must be able to handle everything on the Web Application side - including client and the server-side Javascript, UI integrations, etc.
- Build basic visualizations on the web application using popular Javascript libraries. It will help a lot if you are inclined towards building data-centric applications.
- Follow strict coding standards and write efficient code with attention to detail.
- Work as a part of the team in planning, designing, and development of the product, improvements, and new features.
- Be part of something big and build world-class web applications.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with the team to reach a common goal.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Not restricted to one programming language and is comfortable enough with other mainstream programming languages such as Python.
- Experienced with the integration of third-party APIs and web services
- Comfortable working with all kinds of databases, MYSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or any new tech as required. We are a data company, and we deal with a LOT of data, in the millions of records
- You hate doing things inefficiently and are always looking for ways to improve existing processes
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills, a collaborator who shares knowledge with the peers
- Three years or more of software development experience preferably in Nodejs or similar languages
- Pay attention to every small detail. Do you think you do? Did you notice the second point is written twice?
- Must be curious like a cat and creative like a child, always learning, always experimenting, always willing to push the boundaries
Education + Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred, but we value expertise over a degree
- Three years or more of software development experience preferably in Nodejs or similar languages
