The project is being promoted by KOSEP, Daelim and Kyeryong Companies of South Korea, International Finance Corporation and a Nepali promoter, the lenders being IFC, ADB, Proparco (France), DEG (Germany), FMO (The Netherlands) and Korean Development Bank. The EPC Contractors are Daelim ... and Kyeryong. KOSEP will be the O & M Contractor. The project will generate 1456.4 GWh of energy.

Job Description:
- To supervise Environmental Mitigation works at construction site done by contractor
- To be responsible for the planning and implementation of environmental programs of UT-1 Hydropower Project
- To be responsible for conducting IEE Study of Transmission Line
- Monitoring, Supervision, evaluation and implementation for Cumulative Impact Assessment programs
- Prepare, supervise and monitor Environmental Monitoring Planning (EMP) as per approved EIA
- Enforce Project construction and Environment monitoring
- Carrying out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce an organization’s environmental risks and financial costs
- To coordinate with concerned government agencies, local and regional, before and during the project construction
- Work in close coordination with compensation, public relation and social manager and prepare integrated plan in your responsible area
- Implementing any additional duties instructed by Chief Executive Officer, Managerial Director, General Manager and Technical Manager
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent command in written and spoken skills in English
- Must have clear understanding & experience in baseline survey, M&E process and tools
- Have knowledge on qualitative and quantitative M&E system, monitoring of LALRP, Benefits Sharing, Environment Management Plan of approved EIA and socio economic status
- Should have interpersonal communication, facilitation and representation skills
- Skill in file management & E-communication
- Must be computer literate and have the ability to use appropriate technology for presentation to Lenders and stakeholders
- Good interpersonal skills, innovative thinking, versatile ability to work in a team and work independently
- Willing to travel as and when required
- Participatory social development & rural livelihoods. Excellent resource, process & people management skills
Education + Experience:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Natural Resource Management/Environmental Management
- At least 10 years in designing and implementing Environment management programs for hydropower/other infrastructure project/international donors funded programs. The candidate familiar with IFC/WB/ADB standards/safeguards will of added advantages
