Job Description:

  • Create/Oversee plans for current running engineering projects
  • Help engineers understand company-wide goals and how their work ladders up
  • Periodically, conduct feedback sessions within engineering teams to improve our Engineering Managers Department) and the company’s process/style.
  • Make sure the communication between engineering teams, clients and the company is as per the standard.
  • Acknowledge complaints and concerns from the client as well as engineering teams and plan for the actions accordingly.
  • Ensure a healthy relationship between engineering teams and the company.
  • Continuously improve or provide feedback to improve the project process to deliver more effectively and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Make plans to audit the engineering project (code, process, practices) if they have followed standards and best practices.
  • Ensure a healthy relationship between clients and engineering teams.
  • Cooperate with engineers, project managers and customers to design, plan and develop the project.
  • Work with Project Managers/Team Leads/Designer to create key results of the project.
  • Identify and remove any obstacles to the delivery of quality products.
  • Inspect the progress of the engineering project.

  • Coordinate with the recruitment team to hire engineers by providing. selection standards( written tests, interview questions, work sample test), process ( written test, face to face interview) and their time.
  • Design the appropriate onboarding sessions for various levels of hirings to ensure standard learnings.
  • Deal with team interpersonal issues and performance issues.
  • Training
  • Identify training and development needs within a project and organization.
  • Provide suggestions to design and develop execution plans for various training to be run at various intervals of time.
  • Professional Development
  • Coach engineers career paths and personal growth in a way that lines up with team goals.
  • Make sure Team Leads are aware of growth & learning opportunities engineers are looking for so they can enable that if possible.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Team management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced team environment.

Education + Experience:

  • Graduate in Computer Engineering or similar IT background or equivalent practical experience, a Master’s degree in Engineering or an MBA is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in web development.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in project/people management
