Job Description:

LogPoint is looking for a talented DevOps engineer to improve our continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline and join our DevOps team.

The main goal is to increase the productivity and to support and strengthen the build- and test automation infrastructure for our agile development teams. You will be a part of the DevOps team responsible for the development and maintenance of the automation infrastructure at LogPoint, covering areas such as build automation, automated testing frameworks, continuous integration and source control systems.

You will be part of the 150+ Engineering Team which consists of project managers, architects, QA and software engineers collaborating on the different components of the system, so we are actively seeking individuals who can work efficiently on their own, but also take an active role of something bigger and meet expectations from other teams and colleagues.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The main goal is to increase the productivity and to support and strengthen the build- and test automation infrastructure for our agile development teams. The DevOps team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the automation infrastructure at Logpoint, covering areas such as build automation, automated testing frameworks, continuous integration, continuous deployment and source control systems.

  • A DevOps mindset and understanding of the principles of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
  • Strong programming and scripting fundamentals
  • In-depth knowledge of software development, build and release management processes
  • Familiar with a variety of builds systems (eg. Gradle, Make, Maven, etc.)
  • You have experience in applying agile software development practices (e.g. SCRUM)
  • You have operational knowledge on both Linux and Windows
  • You have knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • You take pride in getting the development projects working more effectively
  • You have a genuine desire to automate processes and workflows
  • Promote and practise DevOps values and culture across all the teams
  • Actively liaise, communicate and collaborate with various teams/stakeholders to realize successful execution of DevOps goals and milestone
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Familiarity with our tool stack (or similar), which at the moment includes:

  • Programming / Scripting – Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • CI - Jenkins
  • Repository Management - Artifactory
  • Build systems: Gradle, Maven and Make
  • Code Quality - SonarQube
  • System Administration - Linux, Windows
  • IT Automation – Ansible, Terraform
  • Virtualization / Container – Hyper-V, VMware, Docker
  • Atlassian products - Jira/Confluence/BitBucket
  • Cloud services: Amazon Web Services, Azure, VMware

Education + Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or B.E. in Computer Engineering or related field
