Job Description:
Position: Country Director
Location: Based in Kathmandu
PSI is seeking entrepreneurial, dynamic candidates with significant leadership experience and historical success in managing an organization with diverse teams and used to a fast-paced, demanding environment. This leader should also have experience and/or show capacity and will be held responsible for meeting goals in technical work plan execution, social marketing, social and behavior change communication, new business development, and internal controls standards. The Country Director will be responsible for the overall development, management (financial, administrative, and programmatic), execution and monitoring and evaluation of all PSI Nepal programs.
Experience and Qualification:
- Experience in leading/general management/direction of an organization and/or business and/or department of significant size & scope
- Significant management experience, preferably in public health, marketing, or another relevant field
- Demonstrated ability to attract talented staff, motivate them, and build their capacity
- Demonstrated strengths in strategic organizational leadership and external relations
- Knowledge of international development and health issues preferred
- Strong research-based decision making skills
- Familiarity with international funders
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Fluency in both Nepali and English
- Right to live and work in Nepal

Education + Experience:
- Relevant post-graduate degree (MPH, MBA, MIA, etc.)
- At least ten years work experience in a developing market context, preferably in public health
