Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong background in Python and JavaScript development. As the CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire technological infrastructure of the company, ensuring alignment with business goals. You will lead the technology strategy, manage the development team, and drive innovation to maintain the company’s competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company’s technological vision and strategy, ensuring technology initiatives align with business objectives.
  • Oversee the architecture and development of complex web applications, ideally using Python and modern frameworks.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to make key decisions on product development, strategic initiatives, and technological investments.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of technology systems to support the company’s growth.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and incorporate relevant innovations into the company’s tech stack.
  • Establish and manage technical budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Guide the adoption of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to ensure rapid yet reliable software delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and key stakeholders in the tech ecosystem.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong technical background with deep expertise in Python and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
  • Proven experience in developing scalable applications and leading complex software development projects.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, security protocols, and systems design.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a CTO or similar leadership role in a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Proficiency in other modern programming languages or frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, Node.js, React).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their application to business solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in driving the tech side of business strategy.

Education + Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
