Job Description:

Assist to create/oversee plans for current running engineering projects

  • Ensure that projects are meeting deadlines and deliverables
  • Ensure engineers are focused on the sprint and tasks or stories at hand
  • Assist to identify and remove any obstacles to the delivery of quality products
  • Inspect the progress of the engineering project

Assist to ensure Quality of engineering projects.

  • Review technical documents or guidelines.
  • Periodically, execute plans to audit the engineering project (code, process, practices) if they have followed standards and best practices
  • Assist to ensure a healthy relationship between engineering teams and company
  • Help engineers understand company-wide goals and how their work ladders up.
  • Periodically, conduct feedback sessions within engineering teams to improve our Engineering Managers Department) and the company’s process/style
Oversee engineering staff
  • Resource allocation
Periodically update the skill set of resources
  • Hiring and onboarding
  • Identify the mentors, syllabus and the evaluation standards
  • Deal with squad interpersonal issues
Training
  • Assist to Identify training and development needs within an organization
  • Conduct/ facilitate internal training and development sessions
  • Plan for evaluation and improvement of trainers, trainees and training process/plan.
  • Periodically generate reports to show progress, bottlenecks, and suggestions.
Professional Development
  • Assist engineers to set their personal goals that promote their personal and professional growth and help them defining steps to achieve them
  • Be a sponsor for engineers so they have access to growth opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have on their own
  • Coordinate with Team Lead to reinforce coaching that is happening for technical development & good engineering practices
Reporting
  • Create reports on a timely basis including progress, pending and blocked tasks.
  • Prepare a report of a particular project’s health and add risks involved and alert the stakeholders.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Team management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced team environment.

Education + Experience:

  • Graduate in Computer Engineering or similar IT background or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in web development.
  • At least 1 years of professional experience in project/people management.
