Job Description:
As a valued member of the Analytics team, the Analytics Database Developer will play a key role in helping build, design, maintain, configure and support the Analytics Data Mart.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in design, development, testing and maintenance of a multi-terabyte, MPP data warehouse.
- Write and optimize queries, analyze query plans, suggest and implement improvements to table structures, database schemas, and high-level entity relationships.
- Must be detail oriented with excellent analytical skills, including data interpretation within complex systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with one or more Big Data Analytics platforms (HP Vertica, Amazon Redshift, or similar technologies) is a big plus
- Experience with software languages or Linux/UNIX is a plus
- Healthcare Experience, clinical knowledge and an understanding of HEDIS is desired, but not a requirement
Education + Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required
- 2-5+ years of experience with columnar and/or relational databases is required
