The UI/UX Designer will play a key role in designing engaging and functional user interfaces for our data analytics products. This role requires deep knowledge of UI/UX best practices, particularly in the areas of data visualization, analytics tools, and dashboard design.
Responsibilities:
Design and optimize user interfaces for data dashboards and analytics platforms with a focus on data clarity, usability, and visual appeal.
Create and iterate on wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes for data visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs, and data tables).
Develop intuitive, interactive dashboards that communicate complex data sets in a clear, concise manner.
Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and developers to ensure the UI supports meaningful insights and actions from data.
Ensure that visual elements such as graphs, charts, and KPIs follow best practices in data visualization and are easy to interpret for different user groups.
Conduct user research and usability testing to understand the needs and pain points of users interacting with analytics tools.
Iterate on designs based on feedback and data, always aiming to improve the user experience.
Ensure all designs are responsive, accessible, and optimized for performance across devices.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization, dashboard design, and UI/UX design.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven experience designing user interfaces for analytics platforms or tools with heavy use of graphs and data visualization.
Strong knowledge of data visualization techniques and the ability to create effective charts, graphs, and dashboards that display key metrics.
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
A deep understanding of user-centered design principles, especially in the context of interpreting and displaying large data sets.
Strong portfolio showcasing work on analytics platforms, dashboards, and data-heavy user interfaces.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data requirements into user-friendly designs.
Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus, to collaborate effectively with front-end developers.
Education + Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong focus on data visualization, analytics, and dashboard design.
