Job Description:

You will be responsible for automating and testing complex and critical modules of various projects and services that power core engines at Monotype with best engineering practices. In this role, you will also have an opportunity to create and own the components end to end, automation of various tasks and performance.

You will have an opportunity to:

• Test and evaluate new features.
• Identifying areas for modification in existing products and subsequently developing these modifications.
• Writing andimplementing efficient code to automate.
• Determining operational practicality.
• Developing quality assurance procedures.
• Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
• Workingclosely with other developers, UX designers and product owners.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Handsexperience on Web&APIsautomation
• Experience in testing web applications.
• ExposuretoLinux commands
• ExposuretoDocker or Kubernetes
• ExposuretoAgile methodologies
• Creation of test automation plans/strategies to deliver end to end solutions (good to have).
• Monitoring of all the QA activities, test results, defects and root cause analysis for customer bugs.
• Experience in building custom automation frameworks in Python, Java, JavaScript and doing code reviews.
• Identifying areas of improvement & implementing to improve the process.
• Experience with frameworks-based on Web Driver(Selenium, CodeCept, Spectron), REST APIs(Rest Assured, Karate)
• Deephands-ontechnical expertise in all QA practices and processes
• Experience and detailed understanding of testing E-commerce sites, WebAPIs, REST, UI and VisualRegression.
• Exposuretothe concepts around microservices and microsites.
• Experience with GIT, bitbucket, Github and the Gitflow branching model.
• Experience adhering to an Agile development environment and iterative sprint cycle.
• Experience in ContinuousIntegration/Continuous Development environments, preferably Jenkins
• Efficient in working on different OS– Windows, Linux & Mac.
• Exposuretothe inventory management system will be a plus.

Education + Experience:

•  3-5 years of experience in automation, acceptance & integration tests.

Job Description:

• A self-starter with a great work ethic and an eagerness to keep up to date with leading technological trends in the automated testing space.
• Experience developing test solutions and test frameworks in a continuous integration and delivery environment.
• Experience in API testing using different tools like Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI.
• Having a strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concept and knowledge of writing unit test.
• Created detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test scripts.
• Experience with Performance tests like JMeter, and LoadRunner.
• Demonstrated experience working with SQL (MS SQL and MySQL preferred).
• Exposure to the concepts around microservices and microsites.
• Experience with GIT, bitbucket, Github and the Gitflow branching model.
• Experience adhering to an Agile development environment, SCRUM and iterative sprint cycle.
• Experience working with CI/CD Pipeline (Jenkins, Github actions, Octopus) preferable.
• Basic knowledge of GraphQL and NoSQL.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Education + Experience:

• Bachelor's in Computer Engineering / BSCIT / BIT / BIM or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of overall professional experience in software testing.
• 3+ years of experience automating acceptance and integration tests for the web (Single Page Apps, Websites and REST/SOAP APIs) via tools like Selenium, Protractor or headless browsers like Puppeteer.
