As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. As a key contributor, you will analyse financial processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for IT projects.
Translate and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders.
Create detailed requirement documents, including business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specifications.
Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
Assess change-proposals and define solutions to help the organization achieve its goals.
Discover, organize, and clarify business needs and review/produce specifications for change.
Work with the Technical Analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
Assist in project planning activities, including defining scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Help prioritize tasks and features based on business value and project constraints.
Monitor project progress and ensure that deliverables are on track.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding.
Facilitate meetings, including requirement gathering sessions, design reviews, and project status updates.
Mediate conflicts and negotiate solutions among stakeholders to ensure project success.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
Analyze business data to derive insights and support decision-making.
Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations.
Create user manuals, training materials, and conduct training sessions for end-users.
Gather feedback and analyze the performance of implemented solutions to identify areas for improvement.
Conduct business process modelling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the IT industry, with a focus on FinTech.
Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
Familiarity with UML or other modeling techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify business needs and propose solutions.
Experience in writing clear and concise requirement documents, use cases, and user stories.
Ability to create technical documentation and user manuals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of financial systems and products.
Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and statistical software (e.g., R or Python).
Familiar with software development methodology and knowledge of business solution processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education + Experience:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the related field.
