Reports to: Senior UI/UX Designer
Job Description:
Looking for an experienced WordPress developer to support the development, maintenance, and management of different WordPress projects as assigned.
The successful candidate would be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and updating plugins. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients
- Convert provided PSDs to a WordPress website based on the requirement of the clients
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality to an existing WordPress website.Conducting website performance tests and monitoring the performance of the live website
- Conducting WordPress training with the client
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good understanding of WordPress and existing inbuilt WordPress functions
- Deep understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and modern web design principles
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across pages, platforms, and browsers
- Understanding of PHP back-end development
- Experienced in installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as, Apache, MySQL on a Linux environment
- Proficiency in working with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD)
- Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A portfolio of previous and current work demonstrating various successful projects
Education + Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year experience in the related field
