It started out as an international NGO with the headquarters in Italy on 2004 and evolved into a national NGO in 2013.  APEIRON fights against prejudice, violenc ... e, and inequalities so that women develop skills necessary to support themselves and their families. Job Description:

As a part of fulfillment for the requirement of Human Resource for one of APEIRON’s project related to shelter supports for the GBV, APEIRON invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates, who are reliable, accountable, have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity and who value diversity, for the following job positions:

Job Title: Supervisor

Accountable to: Program Officer

Responsible for: Children of shelter home

Purpose of the role :

  • To be responsible for shaping and delivering the residential home objectives and managing the team to achieve the same.
  • To provide high quality care services that supports the needs of the residents, to be an advocate for their well-being and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff of shelter home.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintain quality of care and support which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and cultural needs of children as per comprehensive standards for children home 2069 by promoting children's rights and duties.
  • Responsible for the accurate maintenance of financial records, budgeting, daily expenses entry keeping, and monitoring of children home inventory, store and equipment
  • Addressing to practical matters in relation to childcare (cooking, cleaning, general maintenance around the home etc)
  • Keeping accurate records and timely reporting on children for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings 
  • Establish relations and carry out program activities with networking relations different organizations and individuals working in child issues like: Focal person of children Municipality office, ward office, local NGOs, other relevant stakeholder organizations, referral facilities etc.
  • Establish relations with networking of outside professionals providing care (Doctor, Dentist, and Psychiatrist), teachers (Educator) or training (Occupational Trainer) to the residents and visits to educational institutes to obtain information regarding child performance.
  • Attend all program activities and seminars, workshops and meetings and share with the team members
  • Identify various available programs for the children residing in the children home by visiting training/educational institutes 
  • Be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of self and colleagues in accordance with the requirements 
  • Be aware of individual children care plan and treat any information relating to children in strictly confidential manner and discuss only within the children home with the authorized members of staff.

Education + Experience:

Education Level: Bachelor completed 

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience working with children (preferred candidates with children home management experience)
