Job Description:
We’re looking for a back-end developer enthusiastic about creating resilient and responsive services with easy-to-use APIs. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work on a Fintech platform that’s transforming the international finance industry. You will work, learn, and develop with an awesome and very agile team that includes a product manager, designers, and developers. You’ll primarily work with Go (experience with Go not specifically required- we can help you learn that.), Postgres and AWS services.
Responsibilities
- Playing a key role in architectural and design decisions, building toward efficient scalable microservices distributed architecture.
- Participate in design, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, analysis, and documenting software developments.
- Evaluate designs, provide feedback, and architect solutions for features and various technical tasks
- Provides actionable feedback during systems and code reviews and when reviewing team designs
- Pair and collaborate with other developers on the team to build great solutions
- Ensure their work and that of their team members follows the engineering and security standards; contribute to the standards
- Mentor team members on the best coding techniques and how/why coding standards fit into architecture goals
- Designs software/systems deployment processes to minimize downtime and understand how to set up alerts that will detect failures.
- Work with Product Managers and Designers to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Follow standard industry practices for work tracking to ensure work is consistent, measurable, and within stated goals

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in programming in Golang or TypeScript.
- Experience with microservice-based architecture.
- Good knowledge of GraphQL
- AWS Services (ECS, Lambda, Amplify, Cognito, AppSync, and Dynamo DB)
- Experience with any unit testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in both relational and non-relational databases.
Education + Experience:
- At least 4 years of experience building a complex backend for commercial applications.
