Job Description:
Are you interested in a Silicon Valley-style development environment? Do you want to work for one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Nepal? GrowByData is looking for a talented QA Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. S/he will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.
TITLE: QA ENGINEER
REQUIREMENTS
- Create complete test plans based on design specifications.
- Working closely as part of a development team to improve QA effectiveness
- Participating in all aspects of the development process and product lifecycle, from product definition through release and support, to ensure quality throughout
- Champion quality throughout engineering
- Design, document and develop test automation, tools, and tests
- Knowledge and application of best practices on achieving QA goals.
- Use product knowledge and insight to design and execute exploratory testing
- Able to prove coverage analysis and proactively adjust testing to improve test coverage
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
- Excellent knowledge in product domain.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven working experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, processes, and tools
- Should be familiar with any programming language/concepts with good understanding of Database Technologies like MS SQL is must.
- Experienced with Big Data Technologies is plus.
- Knowledge of Jira / Team work would be helpful
- Prior experience with ecommerce platform would be preferred
- Passionate about learning and self-motivated; drive to contribute ideas and share knowledge proactively; must be a team player
- Excellent communication and personal interaction skills. An individual should be able to effectively influence development team, peers, and clients
- Ability to identify and complete tasks independently in a dynamic environment.
Education + Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology in Education.
- One plus year of prior experience in a relevant field would be preferred and favorable.
