Job Description:

Position DescriptionThe Project Director, with support and guidance from Country Representative, will provide strategic, managerial, technical leadership and management oversight to the project. S/he will oversee all aspects of project implementation, including program quality, personnel and financial management. S/he will ensure high quality of implementation of the project, coordinate regularly with the government, the donors and other key stakeholders, which include other family planning partners including private sectors. S/he will be responsible for timely and adequate implementation of project activities, deliverables, execution, monitoring and reporting of the project. The Project Director will manage a team of program and technical staff and work closely with the private and public sectors for implementation of the project. S/he will also promote innovative approaches including digital solutions to provide quality and client-centered services.

This position will report to the Country Representative.

Education + Experience:

Minimum Requirements: At least a master’s degree or its international equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of experience managing and leading health projects especially private sector engagement in family planning (FP)/ reproductive health (RH) and/or maternal/child health (MCH). Expertise in private sector engagement/public-private partnership, RH/FP; MCH; Health Finance; Systems Strengthening; at least 5 years’ experience in a managerial position such as Project Director/Chief of Party or equivalent in Asia region/developing country with experience in programmatic and financial management of large donor-funded program, experience in USAID projects will be beneficial. Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Nepali and English.
