Job Description:

Major Responsibility: The Project Coordinator will be responsible to lead on program planning, implementation, reporting, M&E, coordination and collaboration with relevant government stakeholders and the Mercy Corps Nepal and BHAKARI program consortium partners. Work as field contact person in the project and also coordinate for overall project grant management. Provide technical support to the project team to ensure strong linkages and communications between sectors and at all program levels, program management and overall coordination, support on planning, extension and replication of activities as per positive impact and positive performance, lead coordination and linkages with the government, I/NGOs, private sector actors and other civil society organizations at the district level. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Food Security, Livelihoods Improvements, Productive Water, Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Response) and with diverse team members. A Master’s Degree in a relevant field, such as management, social science or business studies is preferred, as well as proven ability to manage risks and promote governance to contribute to strategic outcomes. 

Education + Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in agriculture science, forestry, NRM, social science, or business studies with a minimum 3 years work experience in managing and implementing projects with multiple sectoral components (Agriculture, Natural Resource Management.
