Job Description:

Division/ Department: Finance

Reports To: Admin and Finance Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly VAT returns and tax returns and submit them to regulatory authorities after approval of seniors
  • Ensure correct accounting of records with effective implementation of rules relating to Vat Credit, TDS Credit, VAT Liability, TDS liability and income tax liability
  • Ensure Timely submission of Advance Tax Returns and Income Tax Return
  • Prepare complete documents to facilitate internal audits and external audit
  • Ensure accurate computation of tax payable and tax credits available to the organization
  • Implement applicable tax rebates as made available by the government of Nepal
  • Maintain Petty cash Register and track usage of cash in the organization
  • Ensure compliance with income Tax laws, Vat Laws and Company laws in the recording of transactions and preparing of financial statements
  • Liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors and obtain external confirmation in respect of the same
  • Preparing a chart of Accounts and recording and approving transactions as per the schedule of Authority
  • Maintain books of Accounts
  • Prepare and update Bank Reconciliation statements
  • Assist seniors in preparing to budget, costing and other reports
  • Record and report a financial transaction in accordance with company policies and regulations
  • Facilitate internal and external auditors as well as senior managers in closing the books
  • Co-ordinate with employees in the site as well as Head office

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working level knowledge of m/s excels and Ms work
  • Skills to type Nepali and English
  • Working knowledge of Nepalese VAT law, Income Tax law and Company law
  • Possessing valid Driving license
  • At Least 2 years of Experience in related Field
  • Good Communication skills in English and Nepal; both written and verbal
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills and problem solving abilities

Education + Experience:

Recognized Bachelor's degree in management accountancy, business, Economics or finance
