Job Description:

Job Location: Based in Kathmandu

The Director, Finance and Operations is responsible for managing and leading the Finance and Operations Department which includes Finance, Administration, IT, Procurement, Grants/Contract and Supply Chain, ensuring the accountable, efficient, compliant delivery of PSI/Nepal’s high-quality projects. Additionally, the  Director, Finance and Operations will contribute actively to the overall management and governance of PSI/Nepal as member of the Senior Management Team (SMT); contributing to new business development and program innovations; and representing PSI/Nepal in various national and international platforms.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least seven years of relevant professional experience, with at least five years of management and leadership experience in senior management role
  • Experience with financial oversight and management of large multilateral and/or bilateral donor funds like Global Fund, European Union, World Bank, USAID, DFID, Asian Development Bank
  • Proven record of excellent leadership, decision making, people management and analytical skills 
  • Working knowledge of integrated, accrual-basis accounting systems such as Quick Books Enterprise, Lawson or another ERP
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial information and write reports and procedure manuals
  • Track record of strategic leadership of an INGO at Senior Management Team level 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Nepali

Education + Experience:

rofessional qualification as Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant or ACCA with Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related degree
