Gorkha Brewery was established in 1989 as a joint venture between the Khetan Group and the Carlsberg Group. In 2010, Carlsberg Group bought majority of the Gorkha Brewery shares and took over the management. The company is the market leader in Nepal with more than 70% market share and today Gorkha's product portfolio includes mainstream, premium, local premium and strong beers. When Tuborg was launched in 1990 it was the first internation ... al beer brand in Nepal. It was followed by the launch of Carlsberg in 1995 and Royal Danish Tuborg Strong in 2002. In 2004, the company started licence brewing San Miguel. In 2007, Gorkha Brewery launched a brand new local beer named Gorkha. In the same year, Invenio wine was added to Gorkha Brewery’s portfolio. In 2010, Gorkha Brewery signed an exclusive agreement with T.C Pharmaceuticals, Thailand to distribute Red Bull in Nepal. Red Bull is solely imported and marketed by Gorkha Brewery. Understanding the consumer needs to constantly innovate, Gorkha Brewery introduced The New Look of Tuborg with the innovative Pull-Off Cap in 2014. In 2016, Gorkha Brewery expanded into cider (non-beer) category with the launch of Somersby Apple Cider.

Job Description:

  • Availability of raw materials and additives for the shift, Collection, delivery of samples, report analysis, verification & ensure results are within the standards. Minimize deviation in flavour standard.
  • Ensure compliance of Health & Safety measures as per the company health & safety policy.
  • Have an efficient liaison with other units of the Brewery.
  • Carryout filtration and brewing activities according to standard procedure.
  • Carrying out yeast cropping, pitching and purging activities maintaining minimum losses of beer
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance work and ensuring regular maintenance works of machinery and equipment in brew house and beer processing units in consultation with Engineering Division.
  • Preparation of departmental reports as per requirement.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Handling of shift operations as per production schedule with optimum cleanliness & hygiene standards.

Education + Experience:

Masters/ Bachelors in Science/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Microbiology/Food technology
